Learn Pilot Training
If you are interested in a career as a commercial airline pilot, you will need to undergo an extensive amount of pilot training first. Even if you are interested in simply learning how to fly for personal reasons, you will first have to complete pilot training before you will allowed to fly.
If you wish to be allowed to transport cargo or passengers, you will need to first go through commercial pilot training and obtain your commercial pilot’s license. There are a number of criteria you will need to meet in order to complete your pilot training. For example, you must be at least 18 years old. In addition, you must complete 250 hours of flight experience before your pilot training can be completed. If you complete certain coursework, however, the number of hours you are required to fly for your pilot training to be complete may be reduced.
In order to obtain your license after you complete your pilot training, you must be able to pass a very strict physical examination. One of the criteria of your physical is that you must have 20/20 vision, either with or without glasses. You must also have good hearing and you must be free of physical handicaps that could potentially cause problems with flying. Since you must pass a strict physical in order to obtain your license, it is a good idea to complete a physical before engaging in pilot training. That way, you can be certain that health issues won’t get in the way once your pilot training is complete.
After you complete your pilot training, you will also need to take a test before you can obtain your license. This test will cover the information that you learned during your pilot training, including navigation techniques, safety, and understanding FAA regulations. Furthermore, you must also be able to demonstrate your flying abilities to an examiner.
